About This Experience
Slow down for a full day experience as a local, among the villages, countryside, and a nature reserve. Beginning in the village of Bisacquino, your local guide will walk you through the narrow streets, among the stone houses and arches to reach the main square where you can see and participate in the daily life of the locals. Later, you’ll meet a local man who is a descendant of the Scibetta family, known as “artisans of time”. He’ll show you an artisan workshop where clocks for bell towers were made since the mid-18th century. Next, head to a local bakery for bread and “sfincione” before stopping by a spot in the countryside to pick some delicious cherries! After a relaxing break eating cherries beneath the tree, you’ll begin a cooking experience in a local home to prepare local recipes such as parmigiana using the ingredients you bought in town earlier. Lunch is served picnic style on a natural terrace with a stunning view of a canyon. After enjoying your meal with local wine, you can choose to take a walk through the nature reserve or head back to complete your day as a local in Sicily.
