This enjoyable 3 hour walk follows country roads and gentle hills to put you in touch with the beautiful nature of Mugello and a few of the secrets it hides. You’ll start from the medieval village of Vicchio, walking around a little lake before taking to typical Tuscan lanes that are closed to traffic and immersed in nature. Passing by fields, forests, and panoramic views, you’ll discover hidden gems that only locals know are hiding in the countryside.

First, a Romanesque church originally built in the 11th century. Second, you’ll pass by a villa that was used as a hunting cottage by the noble Medici family of Florence. Finally, a lovely farm where you’ll linger to visit the animals and taste their products, including saffron and honey.
