This hands-on cooking experience starts in a small neighborhood market where you’ll shop for your ingredients with your host, Sveva. Together you'll pick out your vegetables and pop into a couple of local shops for cheese or other ingredients. Fully loaded with fresh produce, you'll head to Sveva's kitchen located in her cozy apartment (originally built as a nunnery) around the corner from the Colosseum. Sveva is a former fashion photographer who has exhibited her professional work in spaces and galleries in Italy and abroad. Since she was a child, her grandmother engaged with her in front of the stove, teaching her all the tips and tricks to preparing fresh pasta, homemade sauces, and many other dishes with incredible speed. Together, you’ll roll up your sleeves and get down and dirty with some flour! You'll learn how to mix egg & flour to make the perfect dough for two types of pasta, or if you prefer, you can try your hand at pizza or other traditional Roman dishes! Finally, you'll enjoy your homemade meal accompanied by local wine and good company. It will be a day lived like a local that you'll never forget!
