• This trip involves walking on uneven ground for multiple hours and lots of stairs as Matera is a multi-level city.​

• Please note that you'll need to carry your own luggage up and down stairs and across cobblestone.​​

• Most dietary restrictions can be accommodated if you let us know well in advance.

• Wifi is available but connection may not be as strong as you're used to.

• This trip does not include a tour leader, which is why it’s called a “Semi-Independent Trip”. You’ll be with other guests who book this extension and guides or drivers will meet you in convenient locations for each arranged activity. Will I be matched with another traveler to share a room with?

No, unfortunately some of the B&B's on this trip do not have the possibility to add single beds. If you are not bringing your own travel companion to share a bed with, you must book a private, single room.

This trip does not require a minimum # of guests in order to run. It will run for just 1 person or up to 8. However, bookings for accommodations & activities will not be made until you pay your deposit. Total cost is subject to change based on current pricing. Availability cannot be guaranteed.
